The comma 8” x 8” Wire-O Bound Sketchbook is a premium sketchbook, ideal for professional, intermediate as well as novice artists. It is made for sketching with pencil, chalk graphite, crayon and light watercolour.
The term "Hot-Pressed" refers to the manufacturing process wherein the paper is pressed between hot rollers, resulting in a paper surface that is notably smooth and lacks the rough texture associated with cold-pressed paper. This type of sketchbook is characterized by its sleek and even surface, providing artists with a stable platform for intricate details and precise brushwork.
Each notebook consists of 20 sheets (40 pages) of 300gsm anti-ageing (or yellowing resistant), acid free, archival grade fine grain paper, Hot pressed, Black Paper, 100% cotton fibres for long life.
The sheets are of A5 size (21cm x 14.8cm) (8.3in x 5.8in) after tearing, wire-o bound on the shorter edge (landscape view) with micro-perforations that allow for easy tear-off. Wire-O binding allows effortless flipping between pages and a perfect lay-flat on any surface.
The Cover Material is made from FSC Certified (Forest Stewardship Council), environmentally friendly textured paper pasted on hard paper board. A special feature is the Cloth Ribbon Closure that doubles up as an easel stand for ease of art display.
